To continue building relationships, creating trust, cohesion, and sharing orientations and cooperation plans between Power Generation Corporation 2 (EVNGENCO2) and partners in the future, on 19 January 2024, in Hanoi, EVNGENCO2 organizes "International Partner Meeting Conference 2024".

The conference was chaired by Mr. Tran Phu Thai - Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVNGENCO2. With the participation of members of the Board of Directors, Head of the Supervisory Board, Board of General Directors, EVNGENCO2 Office/ Departments; Leaders of EVNGENCO2 subsidiaries, especially with the participation of more than 50 delegates from 26 domestic and foreign partners.
With the orientation of becoming a responsible enterprise with a social community, and safe green and clean production, in recent times, EVNGENCO2 and its members have continuously expanded international cooperation, organization and participation in many seminars and experience exchange programs at home and abroad, to implement many energy projects, ensure technical management, and safe and reliable operation—power units, helping EVNGENCO2 develop more stably and sustainably.

In the Conference, Mr. Ngo Viet Hung – Vice President of EVNGENCO2 shared: "In 2023, EVNGENCO2 proactively works with international partners such as: Siemens, Andritz, General Electric (GE), Sembcorp, Phuong Nam Power Grid Company - CSGI, Mitsubishi, Honeywell... organize seminars and consult experiences. EVNGENCO2 and many partners have signed memorandums of understanding, recording specific cooperation contents in governance, operation management, construction investment, and especially project development, new power sources with the green energy trend.
Highlights include coordinating with GE Steam Power to successfully repair the turbine of unit S6 of Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint Stock Company, coordinate with GE Digital - Power Generation to survey and determine suitable solutions at Thac Mo Hydropower Plants, A Vuong Hydropower Plants and Hai Phong Thermal Power Plants. Initial successful application of an APM tool, "analysis based on advanced pattern recognition APR - SmartSignal@" at A Vuong Hydropower Plant to monitor and create preventive maintenance warnings, to increase the feasibility utilization and reliability of equipment through early warning mechanisms; coordinate with Sembcorp Singapore Group to conduct surveys and research investment opportunities to develop sustainable renewable energy projects such as ground-based solar power, lake-bed solar power; Coordinate with CSGI to research investment opportunities to develop pumped storage hydropower projects...".
Partners shared experiences and perspectives on energy development at the Conference
During this conference, many companies such as GE, Sembcorp, Dongfang Electric, and Mitsubishi Power shared experiences and perspectives on energy development with the Vietnamese Electricity industry in general and EVNGENCO2 in particular.
Wishing to accelerate digital transformation in Power Plants, Mr. Giresh Prabhat - Asia Pacific Regional Director - GE Digital Power said: "GE will work with EVNGENCO2 to deploy and apply advanced diagnostic solutions for power plants." critical assets, APM Smart Signal and APM Reliability Plus solutions for all Power Plants… to improve reliability; support the corporation in collecting/storing data to match the digital development in the electricity industry and deploying a Remote Monitoring & Control Center for Power Plants, to manage and exploit data better…".
Dongfang Electric commits to comprehensive coordination in terms of overhauling power units, improving steam circulation, optimizing the combustion process of thermal power plants... to protect the environment; daily operation and maintenance, provision of spare parts, and technical services... to ensure stable and effective electricity supply, contributing to Vietnam's socio-economic development.
